Calcium alginate dressing pads should be changed at least every four days or as necessary to promote healing and prevent contamination.
Am I suppose to use ointment with the calcium alginate wound dressings?
Because the Vive Care calcium alginate dressing pad creates a moist, healing environment it is not necessary to use ointment or cream before covering the wound.

Either side of the Vive Care wound dressing pad can be placed against the wound, overlapping the edges of the wound for complete protection.
